These beans come from Rwanda and have been washed before being aged in Auchentoshan whisky barrels for 12 weeks, which imparts their distinctive character. In the cup, expect warm toffee and vanilla notes alongside coconut and hints of stewed fruit, with a subtle oak influence from the barrel maturation. The aroma carries that same sweet, woody profile. This roast works particularly well as a filter coffee, where the complex flavours have space to develop and reveal themselves across the cup.
